Hi! My name is Kelsey. I live in the mountains of West Virginia with my husband, Chance, and three farm kids Henry, Lillian, and Eliza. We jumped into the homesteading journey a little over five years ago and never looked back. On our homestead, we currently keep chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs, goats, and a Dexter dairy cow. We also have ever-expanding gardens to grow our own fruit and vegetables and two high tunnels on our property. Our family is committed to growing and raising as much of our food as possible in a way that is beneficial to the environment.
Chance manages an Emergency Room full time and spearheads the big homestead projects. He tends to dive into an idea full force while I am a bit more hesitant sometimes (remember when he decided to get the pigs?), but his big ideas usually work out well. He is the hardest worker I know and the only person I would want to be on this homesteading journey with.
I am a stay at home mom to our three kids which is a wild adventure on its own. I am passionate about creating a rich family culture, raising wild and free kids, Charlotte Mason homeschooling, and focusing on slowing down to forge deep connections in our family.
I am so excited that you’re here, and I can’t wait to share with you on this journey.
Wishing you an abundant life,
Kelsey
