Summer is almost upon us! I am so excited to spend our days in the garden, swimming, camping, and cooking outside! The children are ready to enjoy the summer before Henry starts Year 1 of school, so they plan to make the most out of each day before we start. We did a light Charlotte Mason inspired kindergarten that I created this past year, and we really enjoyed ourselves. I’m sure if you’re like me, you’re gearing up to plan your next year of homeschooling. So I decided to compile a list of the best Charlotte Mason homeschool resources for those of you who may be researching curriculum options. Here you’ll find some of my favorite Charlotte Mason inspired curriculums and books. I hope this helps you as you plan your homeschool year!

Best Charlotte Mason Homeschool Books
I would highly recommend starting with Charlotte Mason’s six original volumes. They can be quite a read, so if you’re looking for the best place to start, I would start with:

Charlotte Mason Style Curriculums
Ambleside Online– This is a free curriculum that provides book lists for each year and weekly plans. This is not an open and go curriculum with plans for each day. You will need to select your own math and foreign language. The website has a ton of other valuable Charlotte Mason resources to learn from, and there is a forum for further discussion on just about anything you could think of. Their book selections are rich and beautiful. This is the curriculum we are using!
A Gentle Feast– This is an open and go style Charlotte Mason curriculum. This curriculum comes with daily plans in a teacher’s manual. It also provides the list of books you will need to have in order to complete the readings. You can order a physical copy of the manual and plans or a digital copy that you can print yourself. You will also need to select a math and foreign language. A Gentle Feast can easily be used for the whole family for most subjects. A Gentle Feast also has a great reading curriculum. Simply Charlotte Mason– Simply Charlotte Mason is another open and go curriculum with daily plans. You will be provided with a book list of living books needed to complete the assigned readings. You will need to choose your own math curriculum. The history and enrichment studies can be done as a family. There are individual studies, such as language arts, science, and math. Simply Charlotte Mason also offers resources on habit training and learning different handicrafts.
